Although WDSC won't run on Unix machines, you can use RSE to connect to
remote Unix machines and edit files on those systems. You need to install
the RSE server on the systems you want to connect to. The documentation for
it is provided in the Help, under "Connecting to Linux, UNIX, Windows, and
iSeries servers" -> "Installing Remote System Explorer server components".

Nope ... WDSC is only supported on Win32.
You might want to look at Eclipse though ... which WDSC is based on.
That runs on *nix quite well.
