RE: [WDSCI-L] Rational V6.0?? vs WDSC V6.0??

There are several Rational development products, some of which are
basically rebranded WebSphere Studio products:

Rational Web Developer (RWD) is the new name for WebSphere Studio Site
Developer (WSSD)

Rational Application Developer (RAD) is the new name for WebSphere
Studio Application Developer (WSAD)

WDSC is still built on these, with WDSC standard edition being built on
top of RAD, and WDSC advanced edition built on top of RAD

Finally, there is something called RSA, Rational Software Architect.
This is the full-blown UML modeling tool that I heartily wish IBM would
extend into the iSeries world.

P.S. I've got an article coming out in MCPressOnline next Monday on what
Rational brings to WDSC; it's primarily a nice set of documentation and
tutorials.
