Don,

I was hoping that you were monitoring the list.

Sorry for the delayed "thank you", but Thank You!

That's what I needed. I had deleted the files in my temp directory in my
workspace to try to save some disk space and I think that is what really
messed me up.

Thanks again.

Hi Jeff,

Try deleting the RemoteSystemsTempFiles project with these steps:

1. Select Window > Show View > Other, then select Basic > Navigator.
2. In the Navigator view select the pull down menu (the upside down
triangle) and select Filters...
3. Deselect RemoteSystemsTempFiles and click OK.
4. Right click on the project in the Navigator view and select Delete
from the popup menu.

Hope this helps.

Well, If I had read the migration manual closer, I would have specified
the 5.1.2 workspace at the first start up and it would have asked if I
wanted to conver it to the 6.0 format.

Specifying your post-installation workspace
1. When you start the Version 6.0 product (Start > Programs > IBM
Rational(R) > WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries), a
Workspace Launcher window opens in which you specify the directory to use
for the session. Specify the directory location of your Version 5.1 or
5.1.2 workspace in this window.
2. When prompted to confirm that you want to convert to the new
workspace format, click OK.

But now if I switch workspaces, to the 5.1.2 I don't get any prompt to
convert to the new format.

Any more suggestions?

Using a 5.1.2 workspace when opening 6.0 could a problem. I have had
problems on earlier versions doing this. This is probably because of
things
like the file/folder structure for web and webfacing projects has been
changed to the new versions. Look at the migration guide on the cd. You
should use a 6.0 workspace and migrate (import) from the old to the new
workspace. This could include filters.

I installed 6.0 - every one's right - it take a looong time.

I saved my workspace before and replaced the workspace in 6.0. (Did that
after it started up the first time.) ie - I saved the new workspace, then
put the old workspace in place if the new one. Hope that's not my
problem.

Anyway, all of my filters, etc were there when I open 6.0 up. But
whenever
I try to open a source member in the LPEX editor, I get an "Operation
Failed. File system input or output error", with the details saying...

Message reported from file system: Resource
/RemoteSystemsTempFiles/DELTA/QSYS.LIB/REPRICE.LIB/QSRC.FILE/FR0030.CLLE
does not exist..

I tried clearing my cache in Prefernces.Remote Systems.iSeries, but that
had
no effect.

Any suggestions?

TIA!
