just out of curiosity: what is a CODE/400 application?

Or do you mean that you need the Distributed Debugger if you want to start 
debuggin from CODE?

Hi Jeff,

 Distributed Debugger is needed for debugging VisualAge RPG and CODE/400 
applications.  It is also useful if you want to debug JNI call. 
 If these are not your cases, you can un-install it.
