Hi All,
turns out that the Rational Product Updater needs some manual
configuration, if you are using a proxy to access the internet.
You have to create a httpProxy.properties file with your proxy IP and port
number and save it to a specific location in the install directory. Details
can be found in the Help.
I made the mistake of thinking that if I have configured it in the WDSC
product the Updater would pick it up from there.
Happily downloading this morning.

Hi All,
has anyone else encountered this problem. Downloaded V6.0 from the
Software Mall and installed this morning. I ran the Rational Product
Updater to Iook for any updates and after I clicked the "find updates"
button I got the following messages:
Invalid update site url for IBM Rational Product Updater 6.0.0.4:
http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/updater/60/update/site.xml
Invalid update site url for IBM Rational Web Developer:
http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/rwd/60/update
Invalid update site url for IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client for
iSeries:
http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/websphere/iseries/wdsc600/update
Could anyone tell me, what the correct update sites are and how to point
WDSC at them?
