I took a tutorial session on EGL at DevCon in NewOrleans and I left scratching my head as to IBM's intentions. I was wondering why someone would take the time to learn a language like EGL instead of Java, or why IBM would dispose of NET.DATA in favor of creating another language - EGL. Is anybody moving forward with EGL? Why did you choose EGL vs. Java and all of it's related technologies?
