Hi Shane,

Thanks for the response. I don't have that running (just checked).
But,
it is very good to know. There is apparently something hosed in my
settings. I created a new workspace, re-created all my filters, and
attempted to re-set all my settings and things are pretty much back to
normal again. I think I will export everything I can, as soon as I get it
fully recovered. Then if it happens again, I can import those undamaged
settings etc.

This is an amazing tool - I have yet to explore 10% of its
functionality -
but it is still a bit unstable (of course it runs on windows). I have truly
fallen in love with it even if it treats me mean sometimes... <grin>

Rick,

My display settings were causing similar issues with WDSCI. My laptop was
using the nView Desktop Manager from nVIDIA for special display features and
it caused similar stopping and starting when scrolling and moving the
cursor. I turned it off and WSDCI has returned to responding quickly.

Hope that helps!

Hi Everybody,

last week my lpex editor started behaving badly after it crashed. it is
slow and jerky when scrolling up or down in a page (very Slow) and stops
periodically for a moment. It is getting bad enough that i can't stand it
anymore.

Starting up with a 'new' workspace cures the problem but has none of my
settings. I can rebuild my filters, but don't remember how to set many of
the things it does - it refuses to add the 'EndIf's to Ifs and so on thought
the option is checked in settings. It just doesn't seem to behave right
leading me to believe that It may be broken in other ways (or that i brought
a problem along trying to import my settings).

The pc doesn't seem to be the problem - i have scanned it to death and
there is nothing running that I don't recognize - I have an amd 64 with 2gb.

Am I going to have to scald it off and re-load AGAIN? <vast amounts of
frustration and time pressure compacted into one word>

I guess i can start a new workspace, import NOTHING and try to re-build
from there...

If anybody has a way to surgically correct this or help me get undamaged
settings recovered or any ideas whatsoever short of a re-load, I would be
very appreciative.

Regards

Rick DuVall
