We have that also, but we need these jobs to end immediately. Basically is
seems there is an inconsistency between how different OS/Browsers talk to
WAS. It is probably more WAS related than WebFacing. Just thought that I
would see if anybody in this forum experienced the same thing.

We have changed the system value - QDSCJOBITV to 30 minutes. That seems to
help us.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Closing browser leaving Webface jobs running on as400

We have several types of devices that run our Webfaced applications. One is
a desktop pc, one is a fork-lift mounted wireless device and one is a
handheld wireless device. When we close the browser on most of the desktops
without signing out of the job on the as400, the session ends immediately
on the as400. On the other devices, the same action leaves the as400 job
running. We even found a pc that also left the jobs running. Does anyone
know where the inconsistency might be? We run Windows CE.NET on the
handheld and Windows XP on the desktops.

As a note: When the user sign out normally from the as400, we have no
problems.

We are at V5R3 and have the latest Webfacing service packs. SI18112.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
