Ron, Assuming you have created a websphere test server: * Double click your test server (servers view) to edit the configuration * Click the security tab * Add a JAAS authentication entry. This is where you can setup the userid/password to access your systems/environments (You can also specify this on the datasource properties) * Click the datasource tab * First you need to create a JDBC provider, to acess your 400. Database type DB2, then select one of the DB2 for Iseries provider types * Select your provider, then create a datasource. The bits you need to setup here are the JNDI name, which is how you will refer to the datasource from your app, and the authentication, which you setup above * Click your datasource, and edit your datasource properties. These are the same properties that you set on a database URL. * Your done cheers Colin.W Extension 5800 Direct dial 0870 429 5800 -----Original Message----- From: RPower@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:RPower@xxxxxxxxxx <mailto:RPower@xxxxxxxxxx> ] Sent: 03 June 2005 13:10 To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] Data source Does anybody know the steps for setting up a datasource in WDSc?
