Kyle,

There is a drop down on the tool bar of Service Entry Point view (upper
right corner of the view). Click on that drop down, and choose Clear all
service entry point. Then set the service entry point on your newly
compiled program again. This way, service entry point will be refreshed.

We've been aware of this problem and it is in the list of what we are going
to fix in next release.

Service entry point is a new feature we added (from 5.1.2) in order to
simplify the startup of the debugger. It is a special kind of entry
breakpoint which could be triggered when the program (or module/procedure)
it set to is loaded to the job which is not currently under debug. A debug
session could be invoked automatically with the program object under debug.
It is extremely useful when debugging in the environment where the job
number is not known ahead of time. For example, debug a legacy application
invoked by web server or JNI call, or debug a program or service program
invoked by iSeries toolbox program call. Even for regular debugging work,
it could save you much effect to setup the debug session.

It is a new feature and we encourage people to give it a try. If you
encounter any problem, please let us know (we monitor this new group).
Thanks.

Thanks to Jef Sutherland's article in the May 2005 iSeries News, I
have started debugging via WDSc by setting service entry points.

I failed to read the article closely enough and sure enough, I made a
change to my source and recompiled without first removing my entry
point. Now when I set my entry point on the new version of my program,
it does no go into debug when the program is run.

What do I need to do to recover from this?

Kyle
