        Thanks! -- You're helping me to narrow this down.
        The text description on my 9700 persistent *USRSPC objects is 
QTEMP/QRSEUTILS -- seems to point to RSE, and to something that started 
out in QTEMP.  I'm hoping someone can help me find what it is in RSE, and 
how I can change my settings or what I am doing so these things will get 
cleaned up instead of stored. 
        In case anyone is new to this dilemma, I have already determined 
that shutting down the RSE server properly (from RSE, instead of using 
System Request/2 in my iSeries session) doesn't make any difference.
