John,

This is a known problem for refreshing monitor. The problem came from
workbench's debug support that WDSC debugger was built on. It will be
fixed in the coming WDSC release.
On the mean time, please open a PMR for this against WDSC5.1.2.

[WDSCI-L] Debugger Monitors not current in WDSCi

In WDSCi Version 5.1.2.4 debug why don't the monitored expressions stay
current. I'm stepping through a program in debug and am monitoring a
field,
the value in the Monitors pane is not up to date, if I hover over the
field
in the debug/source pane I get the correct value. What's up with this?
