I tried the same thing and got the same results. I also found that after
you have encountered the error message, if you double-click the source to
open it in the editor and then close, the drag-and-drop works again.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RSE Drag-and-drop member lock

I've encountered this problem, as have others in my shop also. If I open
source from the RSE tree view by dragging the source to the editor pane,
close it, then open it again via drag-and-drop, message EVFF5005Q "Member
.... is locked by job QRWTSRVR. Do you want to open the member in browse
mode?" is displayed. To work around the lock I was ending the appropriate
QRWTSRVR job until I realized that the member could still be opened by
using the right-click > Open With method (or Ctrl+Shift+I). Closing after
opening in this way seems to "clear" the lock.

We're on V5.2 and WDSCi 5.1.2.4 Build id: 20050104_2139. The problem
occurs consistently. A search on the web for the error message yields no
results. Does anyone else have this problem or is aware of a solution?

TIA
Jack
