 Found the answer, so for the archives;

This problem is rectified by the following actions;

1. Fire up the admin console for the instance

2.  Expand Environment

3.  Expand Manage WebSphere Variables

4. Change the variable User_Install_Root to include the iASP name

the iASP install root is now available.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Webfacing in iASP

 Hi all

Trying to Webface an application in an iASP.

In the Admin browser, is there anyway to specify the directory the application
is installed to?

The system specifies '/QIBM/UserData/WebASE/ASE5/frswfasp/installedApps'.

For this to work in an iASP I need to specify
'/aspname/QIBM/UserData/WebASE/ASE5/frswfasp/installedApps'

There doesn't seem anywhere to change this setting.
