I agree, Mark. I do the same thing.

I've found that compiling SQLRPGLE out of WDSC is a pain. I just swing
back to a 5250 session and do it there. Mostly because it's about half
and half between modules and programs, and you have to keep playing with
the defaults or prompt. Then I forget stuff. Plus, the promt is really
ssslllooowww! ! !

Thanks,

Mark

I'm a novice with sql in rpg. I inherited a project from a contractor
who's no longer with us. I modified an sqlrpgle program she wrote to
add a screen option, didn't modify any of the sql. When I compile it
out of WDSCI the compile fails with a host of duplicate identifier
errors. In the compile a bunch of new code appears with right hand
comments that say "SQL". The added code is the sql communications area,
a few anonymous data structures, and api calls following every sql
statement group. When I compile it from PDM it works fine.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were a difference in the compile parms,
but I haven't found it yet. What do I need to change?

Thanks
