This is the first time that I have gotten this with my 1.8Ghz machine with 1GB RAM. I was trying to open up a 153KB XSD file and each time I tried to open WDSc I got this error: !SESSION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- !ENTRY org.eclipse.core.launcher 4 0 Feb 16, 2005 09:29:55.254 !MESSAGE Exception launching the Eclipse Platform: !STACK java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError I finally solved it by going into <workspace>\RemoteSystemsTempFiles\LOCALHOST\c\Documents and Settings\albartell\Desktop and deleting the file. I go to open up the same file in XMLSpy and it loads in about two seconds and has zero problems maneuvering through the document (no slowness to speak of). I am curious as to why XMLSpy can operate at 4MB of memory used with this file and WDSc jumps up to 710MB used (before it finally pukes). Should the XSD tool be written different so the document can at least be loaded and viewed? I understand that Java will be slower, but it seems Java isn't necessarily at fault here but rather the implementation of it. Thoughts? Aaron Bartell
