I've noticed a couple discrepancies in syntax checking of RPGLE
programs, and I was wondering if it had anything to do with the version
of WDSCI I'm on.

WDSCI - 5.1
Build: 20030908_2154

OS/400 - V5R2M0

Verification has the following things happen:
One check is I get RNF7420 (%NullInd cannot be used...) saying that the
field must be coded as ALWNULL... and it is. Compiling on the 400 will
work and not generate this error.

I can code a subfield of a DS w/o a To or Len but can specify a char
type (such as 'A') and the Verify will accept this. Compiling on the
400 will generate an error for this situation.

I'm doing my best to get into WDSC more and more often, and I'd like to
be able to rely on its Verify feature.

Sidenote: Does anyone else type so fast that you end up typing on the
wrong line while in WDSC because of the pause that happens when the
syntax check occurs? That gets irritating at times.
