Service entry points

I created a service entry point for an interactive program and then called the 
program, debug started and I could debug the program, everything was fine.  I 
then created a service entry point for a batch program, I submitted the program 
but the debugger did not start and the program  ran to completion.  Are service 
entry points not valid in batch mode?

Also, after trying the batch program a few times I went back to the interactive 
one.  The service entry point no longer seems to be working (debug does not 
stop at the break point).

Any insight would be appreciated.
