no trying to outsmart you here, but that didn't work.

I did a compile to QTEMP, and looked at the spooled file.

The only info I could find there was the source of the DS itself - with 
the Like(xxx) keywords, the data structure as a whole in the Global Field 
Reference, and of course the subfields in alphabetical order also in the 
GFR.

So it would appear that I'm still out of luck.

Hey, I don't give up easily!  One more stab at this - how about using the 
*NOGEN option on a compile, then grab the info from the spooled file?
