Web Database Page dialog grayed out

Just starting to use WSDC at work and have been trying out some simple
test programs.

My problem is that when I choose OTHER/WEB/WEB DATABASE PAGES, the
dialog page acts as if
It is pulling in information to fields but then the dialog shows with
nothing but a gray background.
No fields grayed out, just a plain gray background.

If I choose OTHER/WEB/JAVABEAN WEB PAGES then I get 
A dialog box that has fields I fill in.

I've tried it in multiple perspectives, thinking I may be in the wrong
perspective, but nothing works.

Do I have something set up incorrectly?
