Re: Default Editor by File Type

I tried to change the default editor that would open for a particular file
type (in my case, a display file) when double-clicking on a source member to
open it in WDSCi.  To do this, I did the following:

*       Open WDSCi.
*       Then at the top of the screen select Window, then Preferences.
*       Under Workbench, then Editors, select File Associations.
*       In the File Types window, locate and click to highlight the file
type for which you want to change the default.
*       In the Associated Editors window, click to highlight the editor you
want to make the default, and click the default button.

I tried the above to change my default for files of type *.dspf to have the
default of Code Designer.  The Code Designer now says (default) beside it in
the Associated Editors window, and it appeared in the top of the list in
that window.  That is what the help text said it would do.  I also expected
this change to affect which editor would open when I double click on a
source member of the file type .dspf to open it for edit.  It did not.  When
I double click on a .dspf file, the LPEX editor is the one that opens.  Is
there some step I am missing, or am I wrong in assuming this default should
have any affect on which one opens from a double click?  Is setting this
default for some other purpose?
