Grab one of the editor titlebars and drag it to the side or bottom until you see a black arrow. You can do this in RSE too, it is just that there is not enough space left to see anything. Also, if you double-click the titlebar of any view or editor it toggles it between maximized and normal. A lot of people do this in RSE to edit source full screen. The problem is that when something is maximized, you cannot also split the screen or show other views. So this perspective emulates a maximized window by simply removing all of the other views so that the editor takes all of the space anyway. This allows you to still split the screen or slide in other views via Fast views.
