Has anyone experienced a problem with the WDSc 5.1.2 splash/welcome screen hiding their iSeries logon dialog? I start WDSc and after a minute of waiting for the splash screen to disappear, I realize that WDSc is waiting for me to answer the popup dialog but that it is invisible. The way I get around this is to use one of the Cascade/Tile Windows options, and sure enough, there is the hidden user-id and password dialog. Once I answer the dialog, things go on as expected and WDSC perspectives appear. Is there a setting to control this or make the splash screen after a time limit? Is it a bug or feature? Overall, I am pleased with V5.1.2 ater using it for several weeks. Faster than prior version, no significant bugs in CL, RPG or IFS file editing. Gradually getting there on verify vs. compile. Love the Outline, once I found it. Also, I continue to be unable to use the Install/Update perspective without a getting the "Problem Occurred - network error". Unable to access the various web sites. I have I assume this is because of our firewall. I have set the I/U preference page to proxy and port and also tried both default browser or embedded. Any work arounds for difficult firewalls?
