I have used WDSC for over a year now. 5.0 and now 5.1. There were some issues with 5.0 but I would consider 5.1 solid for RPG and CL development. That's where I spend 98% of my time and I don't have any issues with crashes or lost source. In fact, I dread going back to PDM for some of our older source (RPT) that WDSC doesn't handle as well as I would like. WDSC is installed in over 20 systems here with about half to 3/4 of the developers actively using it. The more someone uses it the more they like it. All our machines have 1 Gb of memory and processors range from 1.7 to 2.0 Ghz. Using 5.0 I was unable to use the debugger. With 5.1 that issue has been resolved. I much prefer it over the green screen debug. Especially for getting fly-over values and being able to setup variables in a watch window. That makes my debugging much easier and efficient. I don't spend much time in the web or java areas so I can't speak to those. Yes, there times when something slows down and some of the tasks execute faster directly on the iSeries. Overall though, I can work with source members and objects in a much more efficient way using WDSc. My .02 Rick
