Ewout, The Verify Connection action should be checking for the latest PTFs (as long as you have an internet connection on your PC.) For RPG and COBOL development you should apply all PTFs listed under the Remote System Explorer and the iSeries Integrated Debugger. You can find the list of required PTFs at the links below if you don't have an internet connection on your PC. Now, when I try to start a debug session, I get a window titled EVFC2041W with the text "Host PTF missing. The requested function is not availiable." Under the previous version, this error did not appear. When checking for PTFs, under the caption iSeries Remote Control Access, it says "Required PTF SI08018 is missing." It seems that upgrading the client to 5.1.2 necessitates the installation of a PTF. Is this correct? Will I run into other missing PTFs?
