RE: outline for big program

it is unchecked.
Vern's suggestion about using filter would work for me most of the time.  I 
just can't do ctrl + space to get a list of them when changing those program.

   Do you have the option to Refresh cache under
Window->Preferences->Remote Systems->ISeries->Program Verifiers, checked?
You may want to uncheck this, so that the cached information in used. This
will speed up the creation of outline view, especially if you have lots of
external descriptions.
There is no way to filter what you see on the outline view. Even if there
was, it  would not run any faster.
