The thought crossed my mind. Since I didn't think there was anything else running and my alternative was rebooting I tried it. Worked for me, but I can see the possibility of unpredictable results. I can see the javaw process hanging around when there was an abnormal shutdown, but it is more puzzling when things looked normal. Another workaround for me would be to shut off my pc at the end of the day. -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Gibbs Sent: Tuesday, August 10, 2004 11:52 AM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] Re: another session running error Gregg Willow wrote: > Open Task Manager and end the 'javaw.exe' job. Killing the wrong javaw job can be ... annoying. david (who has anywhere between 5 & 10 javaw tasks running at one time)
