Thanks. But I want it to reopen RSE to it's previous state. I want it to run in the background, though, so I can do something else in the meantime since it takes so long. When it has a message to send me, though, I want it to send it. It just seems to behave backwards - stealing focus for informational messages while not stealing focus for inquiry messages. Thanks for the link, though. Content WDSc shows the splash screen on start up and then appears to hang. The Remote System Explorer may be trying to re-open the Remote Systems view to its previous state and is prompting you to sign-on to the remote system. Sometimes the sign-on dialog can be hidden behind the splash screen or some other local application. Check the Windows taskbar for a dialog titled "Enter Password". Select the dialog if it is there and either enter your user ID and password for the remote system or cancel the sign-on. The re-opening of the Remote Systems view on start up is a workbench preference that you can enable or disable. To disable this behaviour, open the Workbench preferences (Window -> Preferences) and switch to the Remote Systems preference page. On the preference page de-select the Re-open Remote Systems view to previous state check box. <phillip.groschwitz@xxxxxxxxx> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:OF6DCCA694.130EF186-ON85256EC2.005FC450-85256EC2.0061266E@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx . > When I launch wdsc, some of the dialogs keep stealing focus but it's not > finished loading so it's a pia.
