Lim, Java in Eclipse is compiled when the source changes or when you do a project rebuild. You have to set up your classpath and class output locations first. To do that, right click on your project and select properties -- Java Build Path. Set your libraries tab to point to jar files, the projects tab to point to related projects, and Source to point to your class directory. This IDE has a option to compile a java program. I was just wonder how I can do the same thing in wdsc. As you mentioned below, this is done when I save the source. thanks -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Colin Williams Sent: Thursday, June 03, 2004 2:53 PM To: Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] compile java program Lim, the default setup is that your java source gets compiled as soon as you save it. So you compiled classes will appear in the location that you have defined for output for the project. What errors are you getting in particular? the common errors that i get not related to a particular program are usually classpath errors. cheers Colin.W _______________________________________________ This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
