Code Designer is a GUI replacement for Screen Design Aid (SDA)--and in my
opinion much nicer to use than SDA.  You don't have to do any Webfacing at
all to use Code Designer.  However, if you do Webfacing, the Web settings in
Code Designer are the easiest way to customize the appearance and behavior
of screens for the browser.  This is great for traditional RPG and COBOL
developers with limited Web development skills.  Developers with advanced
Web development skills may prefer working with the HTML, JSP, and CSS code
directly.

Maybe I am misunderstanding.  Is code designer intended for select fields 
only, and the actual conversion is on the webfacing conversion portion of 
WebShpere?

By the way, I'm not exactly sure what kind of shortcut you are looking 
for.
The WB comments are for customizing screens.  How will you know what
customizations to add without looking at the screens?  Do you have several
nearly identical screens to Webface?

How do I automate the process.  I sure i'm missing something here.  I am 
into code designer with my display file loaded.  If I then save the member 

again, there are no webfacing comments added.  I will play around with it 
a little more, but if someones a shortcut, then that would be better.
