Being a lazy guy, im quite happy to use whats provided in WDSC, does it
(will it) use jsf now. 
What are the benefits then?

Struts is the EJB of UI <grin>.

Seriously, it's already out of date, and even its own inventor has moved on
to JSF.  As has WDSC.  My guess is that Struts dies a quiet death in the
next couple of years as the tool vendors switch to JSF.
