I am having trouble trying to connect to the iSeries from the Remote Systems view. I previously had this working, but last week I started having problems. It seems to be working for others in the company and I can't figure out why it no longer works for me. I have some member filters set up for the iSeries. When I click on the + to expand the filter, I get the pop-up to enter the user id and password. I enter it and click OK and I can see on that bottom of the screen it says the words "Connecting to SUPPORT Starting RSE Communications Server". I then see "Connecting to SUPPORT Connecting to RSE Communications Server". After that it says "Connecting to SUPPORT Initializing RSE Communications Server" and the window pops up again for me to enter the user id and password. It keeps doing this over and over again. I've tried looking at all my settings and I can't see anything that is out of place. I am using WDSCi version 5.1 and I I have all the latest patches (I think). I also tried going into a 5250 session and using QSHELL to start the server like it mentioned in one of the IBM manuals. It initially said the server started successfully and gave me the port number and told me where the server was running. However, after a little while, it gave me a connection error that said "Server: error initializing socket: java.io.InterruptedIOException: Accept timed out". Can anyone think of something I should be looking at? Thanks. Dawn Siegrist Sr. Programmer/Analyst Penske Truck Leasing Co. 610-775-6243 Dawn.Siegrist@xxxxxxxxxx
