Frank Strange you have problems. I have WDSC running on a 600 mhz laptop, with 256 mb of Ram, its slow, but fast enough to work on. I suspect some of the problems experienced with WDSC are due to the fact that it seems to try and use as much memory as it can when it starts. If you read up on the startup settings in the help, you can specify how much memory WDSC wil use. I found that that helped me considerably Cheers Colin.W -----Original Message----- From: Frank.Kolmann@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Frank.Kolmann@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 04 March 2004 23:55 To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] Post your top 10 WDSC problems Hmmm Top 10 problems, I cant even begin. We were shipped WDSCi 4.3 and after struggling to even load it let alone get it working and when it did work it crashed, often, I was advised to obtain V5.1 This was not so easy. After begging and pleading and pulling strings I have finally got version 5.1 WDSCi, via channels best left annonymous. I have 1.5Ghz Pentium 4 with 512M ram 6G hard disk (812M free) W98. I am requesting a 3Ghz Pentium with 4G memory 100G hard drive W2000 For a variety of reasons I am not getting very far. I am a failure I cant even get management to believe I need these tools to do my job (mia culpa mia culpa mia maxima culpa) This is not a joke.
