[WDSCI-L] Is the iSeries Table View faster than the Remote Systems view?

It seems the work with members option in the iSeries Table View resolves
consistently faster than the work with member filters in the Remote Systems
view.  For example, if I enter SRCNAM* as the member parameter in the
iSeries Table View, the source files resolve noticeably quicker than when I
click on the member filter for SRCNAM* in the Remote Systems view.  I have
never received a message saying the server response is taking a long time
when using the iSeries Table View.  I frequently (about half the time) get a
message saying the server response is taking a long time when resolving
member filters in the Remote Systems view.

Has anybody else noticed a similar difference? Is there a configuration
value I can change to get my Remote Systems filters to resolve as quickly as
the iSeries Table View?
