Could a similar "embedded documentation" feature work in RPG? I'd happily add javadoc to my copy members if I could get better prompting. And it is the exact opposite of what I thought you meant. I can understand how it might come about, but the IBMers are going to have to tell you if there is a "cure" long term. It probably happens because WDSc will be using components from the compiler team to generate the outline view, which in turn is where your prompting information comes from. The compiler completely ignores the name entry on the prototype - it treats it as documentary - so I guess it would not be stored, and is therefore not available for subsequent retrieval.
