Sam.
Just to let you know, as the development manager of the tooling you have in
WDSc (RSE and iSeries project) I would like to confirm to you that SQL
support in all aspects is our top priority. I will shortly post the result
of the voting we had just few weeks ago which really confirm the need for
SQL tooling in our product. I think it was the top voted item. So, stay
tuned... We are investigating what needs to be done and how we can phase it
in the product. You will definitely see phase one in our immediate next
release. Hope that would work for you.

Sam,

Yes, SQL support (editor, compiling, testing) in WDSc is one of our top
priorities over the next few releases. You are absolutely correct that IBM
has been encouraging you to use SQL and we need to deliver the tooling to
make it happen (and easier.)

   Don,

The deficiencies with compiling embedded SQL have been around and known
for a very long time. Given that IBM has been encouraging us to use
SQL,
are then any immediate plans to put something practical in place?

I use a fair amount of embedded SQL and the best way I've found is still
to compile thru PDM, browse the compile errors on the green screen and
alt-tab to WDSC to make the fixes. But I'd love to have the errors
downloaded and inserted into the source like non-SQL does.
