Re: WDSCI 5.0 Dist Debugger not working

Hi Chris,

WDSC 5.0 ships integrated iSeries debugger, which is a part of the
workbench. Actually, you will need to install
5.0.1 service pack to get it going.
Integrated iSeries debugger will allow you to work pretty much over any
kind of VPN. You might need to specify
the IP address of your PC that VPN software assigns in the 'Advanced' page
of the debugger startup dialog
(called Launch Configuration). Alternatively, it can be specified on the
Debug -> iSeries Debug preference page.

NOTE: Distributed Debugger is still shipped with the WDSC 5.0 product, but
it may not work with certain types
of VPN software.

Hi all,

I've just loaded WDSCI 5.0 and am having problems with the debugger through
the VPN. Someone had told me, at the time I was on 4.0, that if I upgraded
to 5.0 there is a work around. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I
can get it to work? I'd appreciate any input I can get!
