I believe CWBPING is very similar to the Verify Connection option in WDSC.
It not only pings your server, but also checks that the various host
servers are running.

Did you say that CWBPING also reported the Record Access server as not
running?

I do not think having PWDREQ(*NO) on the DDM server would be a problem.  I
was more thinking of some of the other parms like *KERBEROS that perhaps
are not supported.

It sounds like a call to IBM support is in order, unless someone from
Toronto can chime in.
