>In 5.1, while we don't have an "Add to Filter..." action (good idea)

I haven't done any plug-in writing to date so this may be a dumb question,
but would this be something that a Java programmer could add to the right
click properties? Would I have access to a list of filters for particular
filter pools and have the ability to add the member to the filter
programmatically?

In 5.1, while we don't have an "Add to Filter..." action (good idea) we
will have the
ability to drag and drop members to a filter, to achieve your goal. We'll
also have
a new right click action on libraries and files: "New Filter...", which
makes it easy
to create a filter from the selected library/file, such that its contents
are listed when
expanded.

I don't know if this has been suggested so I will propose it.

I really like the Filter idea of being able to store a list of related
source members. The thing I don't like is filling the Filter with members.
It would be a great time saver if I could just right click on a source
member and select "Add to Filter" similar to how the "Add to iSeries
Project" works. It may seem small, but it is actually a big time saver for
shop with a decent amount of product libraries and environments.

Thanks,
Aaron Bartell
