My guess is that RSE encountered an unanticipated situation, since we normally try to display appropriate messages. ____________________________________ David McKnight Phone: 905-413-3902 , T/L: 969-3902 Internet: dmcknigh@xxxxxxxxxx Mail: D1/643/8200/TOR ____________________________________ |---------+----------------------------> | | "Dizzy Verde" | | | <dizzyverde@xxxxx| | | il.com> | | | Sent by: | | | wdsci-l-bounces@x| | | idrange.com | | | | | | | | | 14/07/2003 02:19 | | | PM | | | Please respond to| | | Websphere | | | Development | | | Studio Client for| | | iSeries | | | | |---------+----------------------------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx | | cc: | | Subject: [WDSCI-L] re: Copy from one IFS to another | | | | | >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| It is strange that the message details don't indicate the cause of the problem. Normally when a file system copy fails the Details will read: Message reported from file system: <underlying error message here> For example, trying to copy a jar file to the QSYS.LIB file system would result in these details: Message reported from file system: Directory name not valid. <Could be, how would I check if that is the problem; it sure would be nice to have that conveyed in the error message. The one provided is pretty poor an useless.
