I'd like to be able to re-map Alt-Backspace and Alt-O but all
attempts to do this via the user key actions are ignored.

1.- I had no problems redefining Alt+Backspace in WDSC 5.0.1 - for example, to bring up the live find and replace:

"Window" -> "Preferences" -> "LPEX Editor" -> [+] -> "User Key Actions" ->
        Key:    a-backSpace
        Action: findAndReplace
-> "Set" -> "OK".

Make sure you use the correct mixed-case for both the key definition and the action name. Don't forget to push the "Set".

2.- Alt+O, on the other hand, is taken by the underlying Eclipse system (Eclipse R2.0.2 for WDSC 5.0), being used for the top-level "Source" menu mnemonic - the key doesn't reach the LPEX window.

Unfortunately, Eclipse's key-binding mechanism changes drastically with each release (and there seems to be no end to this in sight, at least not yet). In WDSC 5.1 (which is based on Eclipse R2.1.1), LPEX will at least get all the keys it actually defines in its base profiles ("lpex", "seu", etc.), including those that may be used by top-level menu mnemonics or other Eclipse global actions. However, it may still not get other key combinations outside this defined scope (such as Alt+O), if used elsewhere (for example, mnemonics)...
