WDSC 5.0 STRCODE startup beep never resets -- WDSCI-L

After upgrading to WDSC 5.0 from 4.0 and installing the 5.0.1 fix pack, the
communications daemon always make the STRCODE session beep when starting.
This is after a reboot even when *NONE is set.  To get around this, I have
to select *BEEP, OK, then change it back to *NONE and it doesn't beep
anymore.  If I get out of Windows and back in though, I have to do that all
over again as the beeping is defaulted again.  Kind of an annoyance.  Any
help would be appreciated.
