That is the sort of thing I am looking for. What I want is a list of all TCP/IP ports that WDSC uses so that I can properly configure my VPN. This port 4300 was one of the ones I have been wondering about whether or not I need. Is it used by RSE always, or only if you run that STRRSESVR command? There should be a page in the documentation that lists all of these ports. It is not going to be that uncommon that people are going to need to configure firewalls and VPN's so that developers can use WDSC. I want a list of all of the ports, in some cases with explanations so that I can decide if I open them. For example, does the debugger use a unique port? If so, and I do not need to use the debugger, I could not open it. Could this be what you're looking for? _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus _______________________________________________ This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
