Hi Paul, Which search utility are you using? Is this the local workspace search or are you searching on a remote host? On the remote host are you searching the QSYS or IFS? If you need to search the contents of files in the IFS, although this is fairly loosely integrated, you could use the "grep" command from a shell in the Remote Commands view. For example, you could type "grep -n <pattern> <file pattern>". The integrated shell inteprets grep output so that you can double-click on a line of output to jump into the associated source in an editor. ____________________________________ David McKnight Phone: 905-413-3902 , T/L: 969-3902 Internet: dmcknigh@xxxxxxxxxx Mail: D1/643/8200/TOR ____________________________________ |---------+----------------------------> | | "Paul Pendleton" | | | <pnpendleto@xxxxx| | | ll-ltg.com> | | | Sent by: | | | wdsci-l-bounces@x| | | idrange.com | | | | | | | | | 03/06/2003 02:50 | | | PM | | | Please respond to| | | Websphere | | | Development | | | Studio Client for| | | iSeries | | | | |---------+----------------------------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx | | cc: | | Subject: [WDSCI-L] Subfolder Search with search utility | | | | | >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Does anyone know how to get the search utility to search through the subfolders? We have an intranet site where we have quite a few net.data macros(do not make fun all of you java programmers) :-) We need to search through the files for certain strings. If the search utility does not do this then this needs to be an added feature, just for me! -- PAUL PENDLETON _______________________________________________ This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
