In my experience, the WDSC compile is just executing the create command
for you. I do not see how it would be slow or error-prone. You could
always have it submit to batch if you did not want to tie up your PC.

I have not had that problem with the error list either. You might try
setting the view to not show Information messages if you have programs
that are generating lots of feedback.

I have been trying to compile my programs from WDSc 5.0 for the last week
or
so. I want to know if anybody else is having this problem. After the
compile completes (successfully or un-successfully) the iSeries Error List
pops up. From this point on it seems WDSc goes into slow motion and
eventually pukes (requiring a restart of WDsc).

I have given the compile from WDSc a decent chance, but it is just so slow
and error prone, yuck!

Anybody else have this problem? Any settings I can change to speed things
up or fix problems?
