Rick, the RSE in 5.0 is designed to remember its state by default. To turn it off you have to go to the preferences (Windows > Preferences > Remote Systems) and deselect an option there. Check to make sure it didn't get turned off somehow. If you have to "Open" the RSE perspective then yes it will always open to its default settings. But open perspectives should stay open and in the tray on the left, and retain their configuration. Are you saying that you only had one active perspective (debug) upon returning? If so, that is really strange. It typically means something failed trying to restore the perspective, but that usually doesn't happen until you click on it ... until then only the icon is in memory. I guess the next step is to check the .metadata\.log file in your workspace folder. Finding this can be tricky though! Its whereever you install the WSSD/WSAD part of the product. This morning when I started WDSc only the help perspective opened. Opening the RSE perspective gave me the default view and not the custom view I had created. Ending WDSc and restarting also displays the RSE default view. What happened and how do I prevent losing my custom RSE view in the future? Rick
