Mike, We installed WDSC 4.0 on a Citrix box a few months ago. We only have six developers here and Citrix is used when we work from home. I'm not sure what the demand will be like with 20 developers. We are planning on upgrading Citrix to WDSC 5.0 later this week. I will let you know how that goes. The Remote System Explorer (RSE) worked just fine on Citrix. However the Communication Daemon does not work in a terminal server environment. This meant that we had to use the LPEX editor in RSE to edit source code. We could not open the source code with the Code/400 editor or Code Designer because it needed the communication daemon to be active. I'm hoping that WDSC 5.0 offers better support for terminal servers. I know that the 5.0 Remote System Explorer has more "Code/400" functionality built in, so as the WDSC product progresses "code/400" will be used less and less. [Note to IBM: Until RSE works flawlessly, please don't remove Code/400.] Steve Cross -----Original Message----- From: MEovino@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:MEovino@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2003 11:29 AM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] WSDc on a Term Server Is anyone out there running WDSc on a Term Server? We're big users of Term Server/Citrix Metaframe throughout our enterprise, and we in the IT department like to eat our own dog food. I took Susan Gantner's class on WSDc/CODE yesterday and I can't wait to get my hands on it, but I'm one of only a handful of people in IT who have an actual PC (and with a PIII - 800 and 512 MB of RAM, I'm probably going to get in just under the bar). I would imagine that the Term Server we'd need to run it for a shop of 20 developers would be a monster; is anyone out there doing it?
