We don't need it to build the portal. That's being done by contractors. We do, however, want to be able to use WDSc remotely from home to build apps when we are in the portal. The portal eventually will be the only way we can access all of our systems remotely. Our UNIX manager thought WDSc would work in the portal if it is "Web-enabled". I couldn't find any info in the IBM Redbook that is published on WDSc, SG24-6600-00,WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries: Bringing New Life into 5250 Applications. So...any further help is appreciated. It is WDSc that adds specific plugins for iSeries, however it doesn't limit you to other platforms. BTW... WDSc will not run "in" your portal... but you can use it to build the portal.
