Paul, After making these changes did you restart the application server in WDSc? The easiest way to do this is to open the Server perspective (server refers to web application server in this context), switch the to Servers view (bottom right corner of the workbench by default), right click on your server instance and select "Restart". The application server will first stop and then start again. Once you see "Server Default Server open for e-business" in the console view you should be ready to try your application again.
