I installed WDSC 4.0. If you want the new version of CODE/400 with the
next service pack (SP1 available, but SP2 coming soon), you must install
this. I noticed SP1 has fixed the highlight line memory problem in
CODE/400. Yeah!!
If you are planning on installing WDSC, make sure you read the
installnotes.htm and readme.txt.

Worth noting (important):
WebSphere Development Studio Client 4.0 cannot be installed on Windows 95
If you have version V5R1M0 of WebSphere Development Tools for iSeries, the
installation will handle migration. If, however, you have an earlier
version, for example, V4R5M1, make sure to uninstall it before installing
this product.

Processor - Intel Pentium II (600MHZ or faster recommended)
The following memory and disk requirements
          Minimum Recommended
Memory 256MB 512MB (required when
using the WAS test environment)
Disk 1.4GB + 500MB temp space needed for installation 1.6GB+ 500MB
temp space needed for installation

Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries has the following
requirements:

     Development Time Run Time
Windows 98/NT/2000/Me/XP OS/400 V5R1 or later
OS/400 V5R1 or later Internet Explorer 5.0 or
later
Internet Explorer 5.0 or later WebSphere
Application Server V3.5.2 or later
WebSphere Application Server V3.5.2 or later JRE V1.3 or later
(is automatically installed on the
                                         Client but not the Server)

Because WebSphere Development Studio Client needs 450MB of temporary space
during installation, you can change the default drive for temporary space
to another drive. Instructions for this in installnotes.htm.
You can copy the CD's to a LAN server and install to workstations from
there if you wish or install from CD's or a DVD. I'm not sure where the
DVD is at so I don't know whether it is shipped or not.

IBM, can installnotes.htm and readme.txt be made available for those who
wish to view and plan before receiving and installing?
If I have left something else out needed for planning or gave any wrong or
misleading information, please clarify.

Thanks,
Craig Strong
