I installed WDSC 4.0. If you want the new version of CODE/400 with the next service pack (SP1 available, but SP2 coming soon), you must install this. I noticed SP1 has fixed the highlight line memory problem in CODE/400. Yeah!! If you are planning on installing WDSC, make sure you read the installnotes.htm and readme.txt. Worth noting (important): WebSphere Development Studio Client 4.0 cannot be installed on Windows 95 If you have version V5R1M0 of WebSphere Development Tools for iSeries, the installation will handle migration. If, however, you have an earlier version, for example, V4R5M1, make sure to uninstall it before installing this product. Processor - Intel Pentium II (600MHZ or faster recommended) The following memory and disk requirements Minimum Recommended Memory 256MB 512MB (required when using the WAS test environment) Disk 1.4GB + 500MB temp space needed for installation 1.6GB+ 500MB temp space needed for installation Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries has the following requirements: Development Time Run Time Windows 98/NT/2000/Me/XP OS/400 V5R1 or later OS/400 V5R1 or later Internet Explorer 5.0 or later Internet Explorer 5.0 or later WebSphere Application Server V3.5.2 or later WebSphere Application Server V3.5.2 or later JRE V1.3 or later (is automatically installed on the Client but not the Server) Because WebSphere Development Studio Client needs 450MB of temporary space during installation, you can change the default drive for temporary space to another drive. Instructions for this in installnotes.htm. You can copy the CD's to a LAN server and install to workstations from there if you wish or install from CD's or a DVD. I'm not sure where the DVD is at so I don't know whether it is shipped or not. IBM, can installnotes.htm and readme.txt be made available for those who wish to view and plan before receiving and installing?
